Finding Videos in the Library

Videos, in DVD and VHS format, are located on the 1st floor of the library, behind the circulation desk.  Sorry, you can't browse through the videos on your own - you will have to give the circulation worker a specific call number.  Therefore, the only way to find a specific video is to use the online catalog

Using the Online Catalog to Find Videos

The easiest way to find things in the library is to use the Online Catalog.

  1. Use the catalog box on the library home page or use the link above
  2. Type in keyword(s), title, or author.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Use the "Format" toolbar to limit your results to DVDs or VHS tapes.
  5. Write down the call number and bring the number and name of the video to the circulation desk.  The circulation workers will pull the video for you so you can check it out.
  6. Videos may be checked out for two weeks.  If you don't have access to a VHS player, but would like to view a VHS tape, the library has equipment you can use on site.  DVDs may be viewed in the library as well.  Just ask at the circulation desk.
