If you live close to DBU, you can choose to return the books in person. We have a drop-box in front of the main library.

You may NOT return books to the Plano or Hurst/Colleyville satellite locations.

You can check out books and other items from DBU's library without making a trip to the main campus. Here's how:

1. Search the catalog.
2. Type in keyword(s), title, or author. 
3. Click Search. (For more tips on searching, visit our catalog guide, "How to Find Books and Other Things.")
4. Limit results to books only - check "Books" option in toolbar. 
5. Pay attention -- if the item is an eBook, then you already have access to it, right there on your computer.  (See the eBooks tab to learn more.)
6. Click the "Availability" link.  If the book is checked in, then you can check it out!
7. Fill out the Distance Ed Book Request Form -- (or use the "Forms" drop-down list on the right end of the menu above) one form for each item you want.
8. We will check out the items to your DBU account, package them, and mail them to your address.
9. We pay the delivery postage, but you must pay the return postage. 
10. We include a self-addressed label for your convenience. 
11. Check-out period: books --four weeks; videos -- two weeks. 
12. Information on how to extend the check-out period will be included.
13. Mail items back to us BEFORE the check-out period expires.
