Faculty Services

Can I put my own books on reserve?

I'm a new Library Liaison.  What do I do?

Can my student worker check out books for me?

There's an important new book in my field. Can the library get a copy?

The answers to these, and many more, questions can be found by consulting our library policies.  These are the rules and guidelines that keep the library running smoothly for everyone—students, faculty, and staff.

The tabs above provide answers to these questions, as follows:

  • Can I put my own books on Reserve? Use the Course Reserves tab, and read the "Reserve Procedures" section
  • I'm a new Library Liaison. What do I do?  Be sure to read the information under the Library Liaison tab.
  • Can my student worker check out books for me?  Find out how to set that up under the Proxy Patrons tab.
  • There's an important new book in my field.  Can the library get a copy?  Choose "Purchase" under the Forms tab to view instructions and find the correct forms for filling out a purchase request.

Remember, the DBU Librarians love to answer questions!  If you can't find answers here, call us or email us.
